DeijDream Writings

DeijDream Writings was founded by Vanessa Deij in 2009.

 

She is a so-called third culture child: she was raised by Dutch parents and grew up in Switzerland, Germany, Dubai and Belgium. At 18, she moved to the Netherlands for the first time.  

 

She first studied social work in Breda, but quickly discovered that this was not where her true skills and passion lay. She went on to study Journalism in Tilburg. Despite being bilingual, she also studied English Language and Culture at Leiden University to become a true bilingual professional.

 

Besides journalism and copy writing, Vanessa also writes fiction. She's part of an English writing workshop in The Hague. And together with three other writers she set up the literary magazine for bicultural writers: Cecile's Writers Magazine.
